Curtin University's Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery is a five-year undergraduate medical degree aimed at school leavers. Based in the Bentley campus in Perth, it has a strong focus on rural, remote and underserved communities through clinical placements that can take you as far out as Karlgoolie.
Eligibility Criteria
An ATAR of 95.00 is the minimum requirement to apply for this program. Curtin is (annoyingly) one of the schools where HSC-level chemistry is a pre-requisite.
Curtin allocates 25% of their annual intake to rural students which effectively lowers the UCAT requirement to receive an interview. An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander pathway is also available with no UCAT or Casper requirement.

What ATAR do I need for medicine at Curtin?+

Yes, Curtin's Rural Entry Pathway reserves about 33 places for rural and regional applicants - this has historically had a lower UCAT cut-of since the applicant pool is smaller.

Yes, Curtin offers an entry pathway for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants with no UCAT and Casper requirements.
How is the final offer decided at Curtin?+
